If you're looking for a good place to eat or a fun, kid-friendly activity, here are some of our family favorites! At the bottom of this page, you'll find a map of Destin Area Recommendations with all of these locations tagged for your convenience.

Buffalo Jack's – We've been known to eat here twice in one trip!

Surf Hut – We love this gem right around the corner. It's always busy, but you can play a game of cornhole on the beach and have a drink while you wait.

Parlor Doughnuts – We are a little snooty when it comes to donuts and these are the best. If you have little ones, ask them about their secret menu!

Maple Street Biscuit Co. – We typically don't recommend chains, but these biscuits are that good.

Rick's Island Pizza – Rick's is farther away, but if you're up for a drive, it's worth it! We're big fans of the cheesy bread and the garlic knots, but the best thing on the menu is the key lime colada.

Al's Beach Club Burger Bar – Al's is also over at Ft. Walton Beach, but it's another one we love! A family-friendly place on the beach where you can eat, drink, listen to live music and play games? A dream!

Destin Harbor Boardwalk - Grab lunch from a food truck, order a fruit drink served inside of a pineapple or coconut and sip it as you stroll through the shops.

Crab Island – A must do while you're in Destin!

Seablaster Dolphin Cruise – We've done several boat tours and dolphin cruises and this one is by far our fav. The tour guides are friendly and fun, they play great tunes and they've been known to let the kids onboard drive the boat.
